STATEMENT OF FAITH

THE TRIUNE GOD

We believe in one eternal God, existing in three co-equal, co-eternal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Though distinct in role and relationship, they are perfectly united in essence, will, and purpose. This holy Trinity created all things, sustains all things, and will redeem all things according to His divine plan.

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one." (Deuteronomy 6:4, NIV)

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19, NIV)

"May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." (2 Corinthians 13:14, NIV)

"Who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood." (1 Peter 1:2, NIV)

GOD THE FATHER

God the Father is the supreme authority over all creation, the source of every good gift, and the architect of redemption. He is infinite in power, perfect in holiness, and abounding in steadfast love. As a compassionate Father, He adopts as His children all who come to Him through faith in Christ.

The Father sent the Son to accomplish salvation and together with Him sends the Spirit to apply it. He sovereignly governs history, hears prayer, and will one day establish His eternal kingdom in righteousness and peace.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16, NIV)

"The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship." (Romans 8:15, NIV)

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ." (Ephesians 1:3, NIV)

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." (James 1:17, NIV)

JESUS CHRIST:

Jesus Christ is the eternal Word made flesh—fully God and fully man. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He lived without sin, revealed the Father perfectly, and offered Himself as the atoning sacrifice for our sins through His death on the cross. On the third day, He rose bodily from the grave, victorious over sin and death. After appearing to many witnesses, He ascended to heaven where He intercedes for believers and reigns as Lord. He will return visibly in glory to judge the living and the dead and establish His everlasting kingdom.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1, NIV)

"The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation." (Colossians 1:15, NIV)

"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word." (Hebrews 1:3, NIV)

"He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world." (1 John 2:2, NIV)

THE HOLY SPIRIT:

The Holy Spirit is the divine Helper who convicts the world of sin, brings about the new birth in believers, and seals them for redemption. At conversion, He baptizes every Christian into the body of Christ and takes up permanent residence within them. â€‹The Spirit actively sanctifies believers and empowers them with spiritual gifts, including miracles and special utterances - all to be exercised decently and in order for the building up of the Church. He produces spiritual fruit, guides into truth, and unites God's people in love.

"Jesus answered, 'Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.'" (John 3:5, NIV)

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8, NIV)

“12 Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. 2 You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. 3 Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. 4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines." (1 Corinthians 12:1-11, NIV)

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." (Galatians 5:22-23, NIV)

SALVATION & SANCTIFICATION:

Salvation is God's gracious gift, received through repentance and faith in Christ's finished work. This justification by grace alone through faith alone transforms the believer's standing before God and initiates the lifelong process of sanctification. Sanctification is the Holy Spirit's work of making believers practically holy, conforming them to Christ's image through separation from sin, growth in obedience, Christlike virtues, and active participation in the Body of Christ. While complete perfection awaits eternity, every genuine believer will show evidence of spiritual transformation.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2:8, NIV)

"And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." (2 Corinthians 3:18, NIV)

"It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality." (1 Thessalonians 4:3, NIV)

"But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do." (1 Peter 1:15, NIV)

THE BIBLE

The Bible, composed of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is God's verbally inspired, inerrant Word. It is the supreme and final authority for faith and practice, sufficient for all matters of Christian belief and conduct. As God's perfect revelation, the Bible transforms those who receive it with faith. Believers must study, obey, and uphold its teachings without compromise. The Spirit illuminates Scripture, enabling understanding and application to all areas of life.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." (2 Timothy 3:16, NIV)

"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword." (Hebrews 4:12, NIV)

"Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation of things."(2 Peter 1:20, NIV)

"The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul." (Psalm 19:7, NIV)

THE CHURCH & ITS MISSION:

The universal Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers across time and culture. Locally, believers gather for worship, teaching, fellowship, and the observance of baptism and communion. The Church exists to glorify God by making disciples of all nations—proclaiming the gospel in word and demonstrating it in deed. We labor together until Christ returns, when He will present His bride spotless and complete.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19, NIV)

"And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body." (Ephesians 1:22-23, NIV)

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." (Acts 2:42, NIV)

"Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready." (Revelation 19:7, NIV)
